WAR on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Los Angeles, CA (November 9, 2010) -- WAR appeared last night, Tuesday November 9th, on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! Show on ABC at 12:00 PST and EST and 11:00 Central. They put a twist on their classic hit, “Why Can’t We Be Friends?” in honor of National “Un-Friend Day” which Jimmy Kimmel has proclaimed as November 17th, 2010. Last night the song was heard as “Why Can’t We Un-Friend?” and contained “unfriendly” threats of kicks to inappropriate areas and second thoughts about accepting friendship. New WAR Album

WAR released a new compilation today (11/2/10) --WAR ICONS. This compilation consists of the original "Greatest Hits" album from 1976 and is finally released on CD and digitally for the first time ever! WAR at USC

LA’S very own beloved funk-rock-soul band – WAR - was honored by the Award Winning USC Trojan Marching Band during their last home game of 2009, as co-conducted by comedian George Lopez, who channeled the Spirit of Troy. Longtime USC band director Dr. Arthur C. Bartner, passed the baton to Lopez, who made half time just a little bit funkier, as WAR grooved through a medley of timeless hits including “Low Rider,” “Cisco Kid,” and “Why Can’t We Be Friends.” WAR completely rocked the sold-out stadium, which included USC alum Dexter Holland, lead singer of The Offspring.

WAR in Japan

WAR is currently in Japan and has already played their first show in the Summer Sonic Festival. This is the 10th anniversary of this festival, in Japan, and has a line up that also includes acts like Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Linkin Park. WAR was very well received by festival goers in Osaka and they look forward to their next date in Tokyo.

WAR co-Founder/lead singer Lonnie Jordan received a City of Los Angeles proclamation officially declaring May 23 WAR Day in L.A. prior to the band’s performance at the Greek Theater. Latino Inaugural Gala 2009

Multi-platinum, multi-cultural recording group WAR performed live in Washington's historic Union Station for the Latino Inaugural Gala-George Lopez jammed with war and thrilled the audience with his wit and great comedy. Other performers include:
